Description
Superheroes are everywhere in children's books and television shows. When Kenda's class has a super hero dress up day, she's not sure what kind of hero she wants to be. The next day, Kenda goes to school dressed up normally while her classmates are decked out in super hero costumes. When it came to her turn, Kenda explains that heroes don't need to wear capes or have magic powers. Heroes surround us-- they are healthcare professionals, mothers, journalists, and more! The students are inspired by Kenda's example and begin to explore with their teacher all kinds of every day heroes that contribute so much to our lives.
